I recall sitting in my college dorm room staring at the TV during the Enterprise pilot and going 'WTF IS THIS CRAP?' I struggled to watch it through Season 1, giving it the benefit of the doubt that it would get better like the other shows but Season 2 was torture and Season 3 I was ready to stab myself with a spoon into my chest cavity to carve out my heart. Enterprise was promising and they had sooooooooo much to work with that had been set by the other shows but not really detailed in huge pieces but more mentioned in passing. I had felt a little let down at the end of Voyager and was bummed I would no longer have my 'new' Trek episode fix besides repeat episodes.
To give some clarification too - I was really looking forward to Enterprise when news first came out about the show.
